About us

I am Mishelle Laws and I founded Skills.InRealLife because I realized during the pandemic that the skills my kids really need are not being taught in school. They spend countless hours on schoolwork, yet they are missing basic skills to approach day-to-day challenges and opportunities. I began researching tools and strategies for emotional and social intelligence. I found that there are many tools, but they are not easy to find. At the same time, Dr. Julie Fallon of TheJoyfulParent was taking a Masterclass of CIJ Insight for Life. We combined efforts to make real life skills part of every child’s education.
